Where are we?
The Villa Fabrika is situated in Emprosneros, a village set in the foothills of the White Mountains of Crete, in the beautiful region known as Apokoronas. This historic village is roughly halfway between the towns of Rethymno and Hania. To the north, the beaches of Georgioupoli and Kalyves are close at hand, while Frangokastello on the south coast is also not far away. Thanks to its location, Villa Fabrika is an excellent base from which to get to know the people and countryside of Crete.
The villa, a former farmhouse and olive press set in spacious grounds, has been tastefully converted to preserve the original character of the building while offering all the modern comforts that will make your stay a pleasurable experience.

The villa
The building consists of a ground floor and first floor oriented along a north-south axis. On the south side of the ground floor, there is a small separate twin-bedded room and WC. The semi-outdoor entrance area to the main building features two stone arches and a built-in sitting area. The main section of the ground floor is on two levels – the lower level is a sitting room with fireplace, TV and two sofas which can also be slept on. The higher level comprises the fully-equipped kitchen and dining room. To the left of the main entrance there is also a bathroom and the indoor staircase leading to the first floor.
A large open space on the first floor can be used as an office or seating area and includes a sofa that may also be used as a bed. In addition, on this floor there are two twin-bedded rooms and a shower room with WC. Two large verandas, facing east and south, allow a fine view whatever the time of day.

The grounds
The carefully landscaped grounds have been designed to allow you to relax and enjoy your surroundings. On two sides of the house are stone-flagged courtyards with an outdoor oven and barbeque and a stone table for al fresco dining. There is also a large swimming pool and a children’s pool, and a tiled area for sunbathing. On the west side, the former circular threshing floor has been filled with sea sand to allow small children to play safely while the rest of this part of the grounds comprises lawns.

Wo sind wir?
In der bekannten, wunderschoenen Region von Apokoronas, im Vorgebirge der Weissen Berge im Dorf Emprosneros, liegt die Villa Fabrika. Dieses historische Dorf befindet sich ungefaehr in der Mitte der Staedte von Rethimnon und Hania. An der Nordkueste sind die Straende von Georgioupolis und Kalives dicht dran, waehrend Frangokastello an der Suedkueste auch nicht weit entfernt ist. Dank der guten Position ist es sehr einfach, von der Villa Fabrika Kreta und Menschen kennenzulernen.
Die Fabrika, ein ehemaliges Bauernhaus und die aus Stein gebaute Olivenpresse anno 1912, ist in eine Villa mit allem Komfort umgebaut worden, ohne den Originalcharakter verloren zu haben. Ein Aufenthalt in dieser Villa wird fuer Ihnen eine unvergessliches Erlebnis sein.

Die Villa
Das Gebaeude besteht aus Erdgeschoss und erste Stockwerk, orientiert entlang der Nord – Sued Mittellinie. An der Suedseite des Erdgeschosses ist ein kleines, seperates Doppelbettzimmer mit WC. Der halboffene Bereich zum Eingang des Hauptgebaeudes besteht aus zwei steingebauten , einer oestlich und der andere noerdlich, Rundboegen und gemauerten Sitzgelegenheiten. Das Erdgeschoss besteht aus zwei Ebenen, die tiefer gelegene ist das Wohnzimmer mit Kamin, TV und zwei Sofas, welche auch als Schlafgelegenheiten benutzt werden koennen. Die hoeher gelegene Ebene enthaelt eine voll ausgestattete Kueche und Esszimmer. Ausserdem gibt es ein Badezimmer und die Holztreppe, die ins erste Stockwerk fuehrt.
Oben ist ein grosser, offener, geraeumiger Raum, als Buero oder als Sitzbereich zu nutzen, mit einem Sofa, dass zu einem Bett werden kann. Ausserdem finden wir hier zwei Doppelbettzimmer mit Dusche und WC. Zwei grosse Veranden, die oestlich und suedlich liegen, gewaehren eine wunderschoene Aussicht zu jeder Tageszeit.

Umgebung
Oestlich gibt es zwei gepflasterte Hoefe in zwei Ebenen. Die eine ist vorne am Eingang und die andere Ebene erleben Sie wie ein Museum mit einer alten Muehle, alten Olivenpresse und vieles anderes mehr. An der suedlichen Seite gibt es einen Grillplatz mit Steinofen und einen Tisch aus Stein fuer ein besonderes Mahl. Ausserdem gibt es ein grosses Schwimmbecken und ein Kinderbecken mit ziegelueberdachten Bereich zum Sonnenbaden. Auf der Westseite gibt es eine alte Tenne, gefuellt mit Sand, wo unsere Kleinsten in Sicherheit spielen koennen, waehrend der noerdliche Bereich mit Rasen bepflanzt ist.

Που είμαστε
Στη Κρήτη στα Χανιά στον όμορφο Αποκόρωνα ανεβαίνοντας προς Σφακιά στους πρόποδες των Λευκών Ορέων στον Εμπρόσνερο, με αγάπη για την φύση, τις αισθήσεις και την παράδοση, ανακαινίσαμε και δημιουργήσαμε την “Βίλλα Φάμπρικα”.
Στην άκρη του οικισμού Μαρουδιανά ένα σπίτι με ελαιοτριβείο που κτίστηκε το 1912 απο ντόπια υλικά, πέτρα, ξύλο, πηλό και με την χαρακτηριστική για εκείνη την εποχή παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική, ανακαινίστηκε με σεβασμό στην αρχική του μορφή και χρήση, αλλά διαμορφώνοντας τους χώρους ετσι ώστε να εξυπηρετούνται οι σύγχρονες ανάγκες μιας άνετης και ευχάριστης διαμονής. Έτσι συνδέοντας το χθες με το σήμερα δίνοντας μια συνέχεια στην εξέλιξη της ανθρώπινης δραστηριότητας. Διαμορφώσαμε τον περιβάλοντα χώρο σε ένα οικόπεδο ενός στρέμματος με ανοικτό οριζόντα αλλά και δικές του ιδιαίτερες γωνιές ώστε ο επισκέπτης να αποτελεί μέρος στο θαυμάσιο περιβάλλον αλλά και να διατηρεί την ελευθερία του απέναντι στο χώρο.
Το αποτέλεσμα είναι μια ευχάριστη διαμονή στο φιλόξενο χώρο ενός ιστορικού χωριού του ορεινού Αποκόρωνα στο μέσο της διαδρομής Χανίων - Ρεθύμνου και σε απόσταση οκτώ χιλιομέτρων από τις παραλίες της Γεωργιούπολης. Η “Βίλλα Φάμπρικα” είναι ένας χώρος που σου δίνει την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσεις την Κρήτη και τους ανθρώπους της. Σε κοντινές αποστάσεις είναι οι πόλεις Χανιά & Ρέθυνμο, οι παραλίες της Γεωργιούπολης & των Καλυβών στα βόρεια αλλά και το Φραγκοκάστελλο στα Νότια.Τα διάσπαρτα φιλόξενα χωριά στον ορεινό Αποκόρωνα & τα Σφακιά δίνουν στον επισκέπτη την αυθεντική εικόνα και το χρώμα της ζωής στο ύπαιθρο της Κρήτης.

Χώρος- Κτιρίου
Ισόγειο και ένας όροφος με εσωτερική και εξωτερική σκάλα με προσανατολισμό από νότο προς βορρά στη νότια πλευρά ανεξάρτητο μικρό δωμάτιο με W,C και δυο κρεβάτια. Είσοδος απο ένα ημιυπαίθριο χώρο με δυο μεγάλες αψίδες(καμάρες) μια βόρεια και μια ανατολικά με κτιστό καθιστικό. Το ισόγειο είναι σε δυο επίπεδα το βόρειο( το χαμηλότερο) δεξιά της εισόδου είναι καθιστικό, με τζάκι, Τ.V και δυο καναπέδες ο ένας κτιστός στους οποίους μπορούν να κοιμηθούν δυο άτομα.
Στο άλλο τμήμα του ισογείου το υψηλότερο ειναι η κουζίνα, και η τραπεζαρία πλήρως εξοπλισμένα (συσκευές,σκεύη). Στην άκρη αριστερά της εισόδου υπάρχει ανεξάρτητο μπάνιο και η ξύλινη εσωτερική σκάλα που οδηγεί στο πάνω όροφο.
Ο πάνω όροφος έχει ένα μεγάλο κοινό χώρο-γραφείο με καθιστικό, καναπέ που μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί για ύπνο, ένα W.C.με ντουζ, και δυο υπνοδωμάτια με δυο κρεβάτια το κάθε ένα.
Δυο μεγάλες εξωτερικές βεράντες με θέα η μια ανατολικά και η άλλη νότια, με εσωτερική και εξωτερική επικοινωνία, επιτρέπουν στον επισκέπτη να χαρεί τον γύρω χώρο κάθε ώρα.

Περιβάλλον – Χώρος
Ανατολικά υπάρχουν δυο πλακόστρωτες αυλές σε δυο επίπεδα η μια μπροστά στην είσοδο και άλλη ζωντανό μουσείο φιλοξενεί τον μύλο, το πιεστήριο, τις γούρνες που χρησιμοποιούσαν για την εξαγωγή του θείου δώρου της Κρήτης του ελαιόλαδου. Στη νότια πλευρά υπάρχει ψησταριά με φούρνο και πέτρινο τραπέζι για υπαίθριο φαγητό. Συνεχόμενα είναι μεγάλη πισίνα (& παιδίκη) με πλακόστρωτο περιβάλοντα χώρο για κολύμπι ,ηλιοθεραπεία, χαλάρωμα. Στη δυτική πλευρά υπάρχει αλώνι (χρησίμευε για την επεξεργασία του σταριού) γεμισμένο με άμμο θαλάσσης για να παίζουν τα μικρά παιδιά. Η υπόλοιπη δυτική πλευρά και η βόρεια είναι φυτεμένες με γκαζόν.
