It is situated in the village of Georgioupolis, 150m from the main square, 350m from the beach, opposite from the public school.
All amenities are easily accessible by foot and close by. There is a good selection of taverns and supermarkets, some medical centers and bus service. Nostalgie is a modern, well-appointed hotel with a beautiful garden and private parking.
There are 16 studios and 10 apartments, most rooms have a sea view and balconies, equiped with small kitchen-refrigerator and are furnished with style. It consists of 2rooms apartments that can accomodate 3 to 4 persons and studios 2 to 3 persons.
There is a small family bar, music, T.V.and asmall library in the reception. Also the rooms supply music and telephone.
Don't omit to get on the terrace to have a drink or just to enjoy the view!
The charming village of Georgioupolis with its long stretch of sandy beach and rivers running into the sea, was until recent time a sleepy little fishing village. Over the past twenty years it has slowly grown into a very popular holiday resort, without loosing its village appeal. It offers a wide range of taverns, shops, cafes, boutiques and tourist amenities.
The village of Georgioupolis sits between the towns Rethimno (20 minutes drive away) and Chanea (40 minutes drive away). The beautiful countryside surrounding the village is ideal for those been on walking, while the splendid sandy shore and relaxed seaside atmosphere make it ideal beach lovers.
There is an excellent bus service in all directions and this is possible to go quite far afield, for example to Heraklion or the south coast perhaps to visit Knossos, phaistos or Matala. An outing to Frangokastelo is also worthwhile.
Closer to home, there are many interesting visits to be made; to the old quarters of Chanea and Rethimno also to Lake kournas, famed as the only fresh water lake in Crete and haven for wild life, is within walking distance from Georgioupolis.

Nostalgie befindet sich im Dorf Georgioupolis, 150 Meter vom Dorfplatz, 350 Meter vom Strand, gegenüber von der Dorfschule.
Alles, was das Herz begehrt finden wir zu Fuß, wie z.B. eine große Auswahl an Tavernen und Supermärkten, medizinische Versorgung und öffentlicher Busverkehr. Nostalgie ist ein modernes, zentral gelegenes Hotel mit einem wunderschönen Garten und privater Parkmöglichkeit.
In dem Hotel sind 16 Studios und 10 Appartements mit Balkonen, die meisten mit Aussicht auf's Meer. Alle sind ausgestattet mit Küchenzeile und im schönen Stil komplett möbliert. Wir haben 2-Bett-Appartements mit Wohnzimmer, Bad/WC, welches 4 Personen beherbergen kann und die Studios für 2 oder 3 Personen.
Ausserdem finden wir hier eine kleine Bar in der Rezeption, einen Fernsehraum, Zimmermusik und internationales Telefon. Nicht zu versäumen ist ein Gang zur Terrasse auf einen Drink, oder einfach um die Aussicht zu geniessen!
Das charmante Dorf Georgioupolis mit seinem langen Sandstrand und den Flüssen, die ins Meer fließen, war früher ein kleines verschlafenes Fischerdorf. In den letzten 20 Jahren ist es zu einem bekanntem Touristenort herangewachsen, ohne die Dorfidylle zu verlieren. Es werden hier viele Tavernen, Geschäfte, Cafes, Boutiquen u.a. angeboten.
Georgioupolis liegt zwischen Rethimnon (20 km) und Hania (35 km). Die schöne grüne Landschaft rund um das Dorf bietet viele Wandermöglichkeiten, während der lange Sandstrand und das Meer für die entspannte Abkühlung sorgt.
Mit dem öffentlichen Busverkehr ist es möglich, über ganz Kreta zu fahren, wie z.B. nach Heraklion, Knossos, Phaistos, Matala oder auch an die Südküste.
Von Georgioupolis aus sollte man die alten Viertel von Hania und Rethimnon besuchen, und natürlich den Kournassee, der einzige Süßwassersee auf Kreta, bekannt durch die einzigartige Vegetation und seltenen Tierarten, auch zu Fuß vom Dorf erreichbar.
